Change/Delete Codes
Attorney, Client, and Matter setup now provides the option Changing or Deleting the originally assigned codes.
These codes are used extensively throughout the system. The Change/Delete action analyzes their
use throughout the system and modifies or deletes as appropriate.
To initiate the action choose the "ChgDel" action associated with the record to be modified.
A summary of all activity associated with the selection will be displayed for user review.
To Change an existing code choose "ChgDel" action associated with the record to be modified.
Once the summary of activity is displayed, enter the desired new code at the top of the page.
Press the "Change Code" button at the bottom of the page to initiate the change. All transactions associated
with the
displayed existing code will be changed to the new code. Upon completion, the original code will be
replaced by the new code.
To Delete an existing record choose "ChgDel" action associated with the entry to be deleted.
A summary of all activity associated with the selected code will be displayed for review.
Entries containing Work In process or A/R balances cannot be deleted. The balances must be
manually relieved prior to deletion. Initiate the delete by clicking the “Continue With Delete” button.
Please use care. After the deletion, all displayed transactions will be removed from the system and no
longer available for review or reporting.
